Sarsfields 4-05, Craughwell 2-10
Sarsfields start the first half in a business like manner, with Jordan running forward and scoring a goal in the first minute, soon followed in the second minute with Darren Murphy scoring a fine point. Jordan scores again from a free in the 5th with Leon Connaire nabbing a fine point 1 minute later. Sarsfields go quiet as Craughwell take their opportunity to collect 3 points, with no reply. Sarsfields quiet spell is ended in the 15th minute when a fantastic lay off by Ronan Maher inside the Craughwell finds Jordan and he nets a brilliant goal. Jordan strikes again with a point in the 18th minute and Sarsfields finish that first have 2-3 to Craughwell's 1-4.
Craughwell appear to be second half specialist when scoring a goal in the first minute, soon followed by 2 more points - 4 minutes into the restart. Craughwell now lead by 2 points but Darren Murphy brings us back by scoring two quick goals bringing the Sarsfields tally to 4-4. Craughwell collect another 3 points, before Oisin Keane strikes and scores a lovely point in the 17th minute of the second half. Craughwell finish their scoring with one more point just after normal time and Sarsfields win the match 4-05 to Craughwell's 2-10. Sarsfields win the game by 1 point. Sarsfields now face a must-win game v Athenry on Sunday 7th at Athenry to reach the U13 A Cup semifinal.

Sarsfields progressed to the group stages of the senior hurling championship on Saturday evening after a two point win over Carnmore. Sarsfields got off to a flyer with a goal from Kerril Wade inside the opening minute. Kerril wade added further points for Sarsfields but Carnmore struck for a goal of their own after a mix up in the Sarsfields defence. Eanna foran hit for a point fir Sarsfields before the break to leave two points between them at the break 1.6 to 1.4 .. Sarsfields upped the ante in the second half with some great scores from Joseph Cooney and Niall Morrissey from a sideline. The introduction of Noel Kelly proved vital with him chipping in with two points and Liam Michael Kelly added two further scores to keep Carnmore at bay . SARSFIELDS 0-13 CARNMORE 1-10 Sarsfields got their senior championship under way with a draw against Carnmore on Saturday evening. Sarsfields started well with a point from Kevin Hynes and a brilliant sideline cut from Niall Morrissey. Carnmore however had the better of the first half leading at half time 8. Points to 4 . Liam Michael Kelly and Kerril Wade finished the first half scoring for Sarsfields. Keril wade and Niall Morrissey added further points for Sarsfields in the second half but Carnmore struck for goal to leave 3 points between them with 10 minutes to go. The introduction of Cathal Murray and Alan Ward and Tomas Spellman proved crucial as points from Cathal Murray and Alan Ward levelled the sides at 1-10 to 13 points.. Sarsfields won their second match of this year's Junior B Championship in a very entertaining game played in Loughrea on Sunday evening. Beagh started much brighter and, thanks to a late goal from a free, led at half time by 1-8 to 0-5 with Dylan Madden keeping Sarsfields in touch with 3 pointed frees. Sarsfields staged a great comeback in the second half and points from Alan Ward, Stephen Earls and Ronan Duhan brought them back into the game. A goal from substitute Eoin Leslie late in the game ensured Sarsfields snatched victory on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-11.

Sarsfields recorded an 11 point win over Ballinasloe in their second match of this years Junior A Championship played in Killimor on Friday evening. Sarsfields started brightly and but found scores hard to come by due to the bad conditions. Two frees from Cyril Murray as well as points from Eanna Dolan, Padraig Forde, Cathal Kelly and Gerard Dolan gave Sarsfields a 0-6 to 0-1 half time lead. It could have been even better for Sarsfields as Johnathon Skehill was denied a great goal chance just before half time. Sarsfields dominated the second half but continued to miss a lot of chances. Seamus Doyle scored a great goal late in the game which ensured Sarsfields held on for a comfortable 1-11 to 0-3 victory.

Sarsfields won their first match of this years Junior B Championship in a brilliant game played in Castledaly on Sunday. Ballindereen started brightly and scored a goal early in the game after a goalmouth scramble. Points from Peter Kelly, Fiachra Cooney, Ronan Duhan and four frees from the accurate Dylan Madden kept Sarsfields in the game and left the half-time score at Ballindereen 1-7 to Sarsfields 0-8. Ballindereen still led with ten minutes to go but Sarsfields staged a superb comeback with a great goal from Peter Kelly putting them in front. Points from substitutes Cormac Dolan and Alan Ward (two) and some great long range frees from Stephen Earls gave Sarsfields a victory on a score-line of 1-19 to 1-16.

Sarsfields had a comprehensive victory over Killimordaly in the group stages of the Junior B League played in Killimordaly on Saturday evening. Sarsfields played with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half and two goals from Gregory Lawless and one from Dylan Madden helped them to a 3-9 to 0-4 half time lead. Killimordaly staged a comeback in the second half but Seamus Doyle came off the bench to score a goal for sarsfields. A point from a free from Dylan Madden left the final score at 4-10 to 2-5. Sarsfields suffered a 7 point defeat in their third junior B league game played in Bullaun on Monday. A point from Seamus Doyle was all they had to show for their first half efforts, but a Shane Callanan goal brought them back into the game with Alan Ward adding a point late on.
