Sarsfields 2-11 Craughwell 2-11
Sarsfields drew with Craughwell in the Junior A league played in Bullaun on Sunday. Sarsfields played with the aid of the breeze in the first half and led by 1-8 to 0-4 at half time, the goal coming from Eanna Dolan. David Connaughton scored another goal early in the second half to leave Sarsfields in a good position. However, Craughwell staged a late comeback and there were only two points between the sides late in the game. A point by substitute Peter Kelly left three between them but a Craughwell goal from a last minute penalty left the sides level at 2-11 to 2-11.
The scorers for Sarsfields were Eanna Dolan 1-1, Gerard Dolan 0-3, David Connaughton 1-0, Cyril Murray 0-2 (0-2 frees), Seamus Doyle 0-2, Padraig Forde 0-1 and Peter Kelly 0-1.
